About Us

We are Matt and Lucy Longwell, and as the owners of Sweetgrass, our goal is to build a relationship with you to provide you with not only quality service that you remember for years to come, but also the outdoor kitchen of your imagination. We began Sweetgrass with this goal in 2004 and have been designing and installing premium outdoor kitchens, with high-end LED landscape lighting, and more since then. We live in Beaufort, South Carolina and serve all Beaufort, Bluffton, and Jasper counties.

The outdoor kitchens we build are exceptionally high-end using premium stonework, aluminum framing, and LED landscape lighting. Each one is stocked with top-of-the-line stainless steel equipment and can be designed to include refrigerators, grills, griddles, side burners, smokers (electric or wood burning), ice makers, sinks, and more. Each kitchen is custom built – designed specifically for your unique space requirements as you imagine it. 

We take ownership of the jobs that we take on. We don’t work just for the customer; we do the work as if it is our own home. We are passionate, trustworthy, and reliable. When we are not working, we enjoy spending time in our own outdoor kitchen with family, friends, and our four loveable dogs.
